# Intro

## Welcome to CONE, a BSC ve(3,3) decentralized exchange

CONE is a decentralized exchange that provides low-cost token swaps, reduced swap fees and a governance structure based on the ve(3,3) system. Andre Cronje popularized the ve(3,3) system with the release of Solidly. The system is a governance model that rewards active user participation through votes for gauges, bribes and deciding to lock or not lock governance tokens.

When most users lock most of their tokens, they have a better experience of the economic structures in the ve(3,3) model, allowing them to receive more token yield, among other benefits. Reducing the inflation of native tokens provides these benefits, creating a pronounced dynamic of the scarcity of governance tokens among holders. In game theory, a scenario where most governance tokens are locked up is an outcome of cooperating in the prisoner's dilemma. The purpose of a ve(3,3) structure is to provide an environment in which users can mostly choose to collaborate and create a self-reinforcement cycle of growth.
